About Allahabad Address
In his 1930 presidential address to the Muslim League at Allahabad, Allama Iqbal argued that Islam shaped a distinct political and social community and proposed consolidating the Muslim-majority provinces of northwestern India. The address is studied for its federal vision, political significance and relationship to later ideas about Muslim statehood.
