What is the PST paper pattern?
PST is 100 MCQs in 120 minutes, about 72 seconds a question. There is no negative marking. The marks are split across 6 subjects, led by Pedagogy at 25 MCQs.
Which subjects are in the PST paper?
English (20 MCQs), Pedagogy (25 MCQs), Mathematics (15 MCQs), Everyday Science (15 MCQs), Pakistan Studies (15 MCQs) and Islamic Studies (10 MCQs), 100 in total. Start with Pedagogy: a weak chapter there costs more marks than a weak chapter anywhere else on the PST paper.

The PST syllabus here runs to 29 chapters across 6 subjects. Work through them in weightage order, Pedagogy (25), English (20) and Mathematics (15) first, and stay on each chapter until you score above 80 percent. PST has no negative marking, so practise answering every question, including the ones you have to guess. In the final weeks, sit timed mixed tests at the real pace of about 72 seconds a question.
