What is the PIA paper pattern?
PIA is 100 MCQs in 120 minutes, about 72 seconds a question. There is no negative marking. The marks are split across 8 subjects, led by English at 20 MCQs.
Which subjects are in the PIA paper?
English (20 MCQs), General Knowledge (20 MCQs), Pakistan Studies (15 MCQs), Pakistan Current Affairs (10 MCQs), Islamic Studies (10 MCQs), Everyday Science (10 MCQs), Mathematics (10 MCQs) and Computer Science and IT (5 MCQs), 100 in total. Start with English: a weak chapter there costs more marks than a weak chapter anywhere else on the PIA paper.

PIA has no negative marking, so practise answering every question, including the ones you have to guess. In the final weeks, sit timed mixed tests at the real pace of about 72 seconds a question.
