Explanation

The original total salary is 20 x Rs. 1500 = Rs. 30,000. With the manager included, the total becomes 21 x Rs. 1600 = Rs. 33,600, so the manager's salary is Rs. 33,600 - Rs. 30,000 = Rs. 3,600 per month. A student may choose Rs. 2,000 by multiplying the increase of Rs. 100 by 20 instead of comparing the new 21-person total.
