Four car rental agencies A, B, C and D rented a plot for parking their cars during the night. Explanation

Rent is proportional to the number of cars multiplied by the number of days. A used 15 x 12 = 180 car-days, so the rate was Rs. 1125/180 = Rs. 6.25 per car-day; the total is (180 + 240 + 324 + 240) x Rs. 6.25 = 984 x Rs. 6.25 = Rs. 6150. Option a is a likely choice if the agencies' different parking durations are overlooked.
