Explanation

The equations give 5% of A = 15% of B, so A = 3B, and 10% of B = 20% of C, so B = 2C. With C = Rs. 2,000, B = Rs. 4,000 and A = Rs. 12,000; the total is Rs. 12,000 + Rs. 4,000 + Rs. 2,000 = Rs. 18,000. Students may choose Rs. 16,000 by finding A and B incorrectly from only one of the percentage relationships.
