Sample Pak Navy non verbal intelligence test questions with answers

1. Which figure completes the pattern? Choose the figure that replaces the question mark.

?
  • A. Pentagon at centre
  • B. Triangle pointing down at centre
  • C. Pentagon at centre
  • D. Half-shaded pentagon, shaded down at centre

The bottom row must continue star, triangle, pentagon, so the missing shape is a pentagon. The third column uses a 180 degree rotation, making option A the only choice satisfying both rules.

2. Which figure completes the pattern? Choose the figure that replaces the question mark.

?
  • A. Solid pentagon at centre; small dot at top centre
  • B. Solid star at centre; small dot at top centre
  • C. Solid pentagon at centre; small dot at top centre
  • D. Half-shaded pentagon, shaded right at centre; small dot at top centre

The bottom row requires a pentagon in the third column. The third column gives 90 degrees, solid fill and a top-centre dot, so option A satisfies all four patterns together.

3. Which figure completes the pattern? Choose the figure that replaces the question mark.

?
  • A. Arrow pointing down at centre
  • B. Arrow pointing right at centre
  • C. Triangle pointing down at centre
  • D. Semicircle pointing down at centre

The shape order shifts left in each new row. At the same time, the third column uses a 180-degree turn. The missing shape is an arrow, so it must be the arrow turned 180 degrees, which is option A.

4. Which figure completes the pattern? Choose the figure that replaces the question mark.

?
  • A. Solid arrow pointing down at centre
  • B. Solid arrow pointing right at centre
  • C. Solid star at centre
  • D. Half-shaded arrow pointing down at centre

The bottom row must continue triangle, star, arrow, so the missing shape is an arrow. All figures in the bottom row are rotated 180 degrees, and the third column is solid. Only option A satisfies all three rules together.

5. Which figure completes the pattern? Choose the figure that replaces the question mark.

?
  • A. Small dot at top left; small dot at top centre; small dot at top right; small dot at bottom left
  • B. Small dot at top left; small dot at top centre; small dot at top right; small dot at bottom left; small dot at bottom right
  • C. Small dot at top left; small dot at top right; small dot at bottom left; small dot at bottom right; small dot at centre
  • D. Small dot at top left; small dot at top centre; small dot at top right; small dot at bottom left; small dot at bottom right; small dot at bottom centre

The dot counts are 1, 2, 3 in the first row, then 2, 3, 4, and then 3, 4, 5. Therefore the bottom-right figure must contain five dots. Option B has the required count and arrangement.

How to prepare for the Pak Navy non verbal intelligence test

  • The intelligence tests are the gate for every branch, from Operations to Supply, so a month of daily timed practice before your centre date is the preparation that changes the outcome.
  • Track one change at a time. Ask what each shape does between two figures: does it turn, and by how much; does it move, and which way; does its shading change; does it appear or vanish?
  • Rule options out rather than looking for the answer. Once one rule is clear, most options break it, and only one or two are left to check against the next rule.
  • For mirror images, left and right swap and top and bottom stay. For water images, top and bottom swap and left and right stay. A quarter turn clockwise moves the top of the figure to its right side.
  • Practise against the clock. Figure questions are quick once the common rules are familiar, and familiarity only comes from volume.
