Fairly easy

Which option is the water image of the given figure, with the water along the dashed line below it?

Correct answer: B. Triangle pointing up-right at centre; small arrow pointing up at top centre; small triangle pointing up at top right

  • A. Triangle pointing down-left at centre; small arrow pointing down at bottom centre; small triangle pointing down at bottom left
  • B. Triangle pointing up-right at centre; small arrow pointing up at top centre; small triangle pointing up at top right
  • C. Triangle pointing down-right at centre; small arrow pointing down at bottom centre; small triangle pointing down at bottom right
  • D. Triangle pointing up-left at centre; small arrow pointing up at top centre; small triangle pointing up at top left

Explanation

Water below the figure swaps top and bottom: every element moves to the opposite row, and anything that points or is shaded upward now points or is shaded downward. Left and right stay where they are. Option B is the only one where every element has changed this way. A is the mirror image (left and right swapped), not the water image. C is the figure itself, unreflected. D is the figure turned upside down, which swaps left and right as well.
