Fairly easy

Which option is the water image of the given figure, with the water along the dashed line below it?

Correct answer: A. Triangle pointing down-right at top left; star at bottom right; small semicircle pointing up at top right

  • A. Triangle pointing down-right at top left; star at bottom right; small semicircle pointing up at top right
  • B. Triangle pointing up-right at bottom left; star at top right; small semicircle pointing down at bottom right
  • C. Triangle pointing down-left at top right; star at bottom left; small semicircle pointing up at top left
  • D. Triangle pointing up-left at bottom right; star at top left; small semicircle pointing down at bottom left

Explanation

Water below the figure swaps top and bottom: every element moves to the opposite row, and anything that points or is shaded upward now points or is shaded downward. Left and right stay where they are. Option A is the only one where every element has changed this way. B is the figure itself, unreflected. C is the figure turned upside down, which swaps left and right as well. D is the mirror image (left and right swapped), not the water image.
