Correct answer: D. Triangle pointing up at middle left; half-shaded pentagon, shaded up at centre; solid square at middle right

  • A. Triangle pointing up at middle left; half-shaded square, shaded up at centre; solid pentagon at middle right
  • B. Small triangle pointing up-right at middle left; half-shaded square, shaded up-right at centre; small solid pentagon at middle right
  • C. Triangle pointing right at middle left; small half-shaded square, shaded right at centre; solid pentagon at middle right
  • D. Triangle pointing up at middle left; half-shaded pentagon, shaded up at centre; solid square at middle right

Explanation

A, B and C all show the three shapes in increasing side order from left to right. Their fills also progress from none, to half, to solid. D reverses the last two shapes, so it is the only odd figure.
