Correct answer: B. Leydig's cells
- A. Sertoli cells
- B. Leydig's cells
- C. Oxyntic cells
- D. Pituitary gland
Explanation
Interstitial cells (or Leydig's cells) are the cells interspersed between the seminiferous tubules of the testis. They secrete androgens including testosterone in response to stimulation by the luteinizing hormone from the anterior pitutary gland. Androgens produce and maintain male characteristics and stimulate germinal epithelium to undergo spermatogenesis.

About Coordination and Control
Coordination depends on receptors, neurons, synapses and nerve impulses, with reflex actions traced through the reflex arc and the roles of major brain regions. Chemical coordination covers endocrine glands and hormones, including how hormones regulate growth, metabolism, reproduction and internal balance, unlike rapid nervous control.
