Explanation

Once it's aqueous, the Na+ and NO3- will compete with water which is H2O. The anion will be attracted to the cathode and the cation will be attracted to the anode. At the anode, H2O is not chosen because H2O is weaker than NO3-. NO3- is oxidized to nitrogen monoxide and 2 moles of water.
