Urdu chapter-wise MCQs

All 3 chapters of Urdu, with 5 subtopics beneath them, in syllabus order with the depth of the bank behind each one. Tap a chapter to practise it on its own. If you are short of time, start with Urdu Adab (Literature) and Muhavare aur Zarb-ul-Amsal.

No solved Urdu papers have been counted yet, so the share column is each chapter's share of the Urdu bank rather than of a real paper. It tells you where the practice material is deepest, which is not the same as where the marks are.

How to prepare Urdu for your test

Work one chapter at a time, not the whole subject. Reading Urdu end to end feels productive and is the slowest way to raise a score. Pick a single chapter, solve its MCQs until you are consistently above 80 percent, and only then move on. There are 3 to get through.

Read the explanation on every question you get wrong. This is the whole reason to practise online rather than from an answer key. A wrong answer is only useful if it tells you which fact you were missing, so every Urdu MCQ here carries a written explanation and no question can be published without one.

Start where the marks are. Urdu Adab (Literature) and Muhavare aur Zarb-ul-Amsal carry the most Urdu material in the bank. A weak chapter near the top of the table above costs you more marks than a weak one near the bottom, so the order you revise in matters as much as the hours you put in.

Finish with mixed, timed practice. Recalling a fact under the clock is a different skill from recognising it while you revise, and it is the one the paper actually tests. Once several chapters feel solid, sit a timed test that mixes them rather than practising one chapter at a time.

What is in the Urdu question bank

368 published Urdu MCQs, every one of them carrying the correct answer and a written explanation. 12 of them are tagged with the year of the real paper they came from; the rest are written to the same syllabus and the same style.

Urdu MCQ difficulty spread

Difficulty runs from 1, a straight recall question, to 5, one that needs two or three steps of reasoning. A bank that is all level 1 flatters your score and teaches you nothing about the paper.

Urdu MCQs: frequently asked questions

Are these Urdu MCQs free?

Yes. Every Urdu MCQ on TestUstad is free to read and practise, with unlimited attempts, no daily limit and no account required. There is no trial that expires and no paywall on the question bank. Only full-length mock tests and long-term progress tracking are paid.

Do the Urdu MCQs come with answers and explanations?

Yes. Every Urdu question shows the correct answer and a written explanation of why that option is correct, not just an answer key letter. A question cannot be published on TestUstad without an explanation.

How many Urdu MCQs are there?

There are 368 published Urdu MCQs on TestUstad, organised across 3 chapters. All of them are free, and new questions are added regularly.

Are the Urdu MCQs chapter-wise?

Yes. The Urdu MCQs are split into 3 chapters and 5 subtopics beneath them so you can practise one chapter at a time instead of working through the whole subject. You can also practise every Urdu question together from the "All MCQs" page.

Which exams do these Urdu MCQs help with?

The same Urdu bank is used for every exam that tests Urdu, including Lecturer Urdu Test, Subject Specialist Urdu Test, CSS MPT, PMS, Patwari Test, LAT. An Urdu question does not change between exams, so practising here prepares you for all of them at once.

Are these Urdu MCQs only for Lecturer Urdu Test?

No. Lecturer Urdu Test is the paper that carries the most Urdu, at 80 of its 100 MCQs, but the same Urdu bank is drawn by every other exam that examines the subject, including Subject Specialist Urdu Test, CSS MPT, PMS, Patwari Test, LAT. Nothing here is written for one paper: an Urdu fact is the same fact whichever exam asks it, so you can prepare for all of them from this one page.

Which Urdu chapters are most important?

Urdu Adab (Literature), Muhavare aur Zarb-ul-Amsal carry the most Urdu questions in the TestUstad bank. No solved Urdu papers have been counted yet, so treat that as a guide to where the practice material is deepest rather than as a measured paper ranking.

Are these Urdu MCQs from past papers?

12 Urdu MCQs on TestUstad carry the year of the real paper they came from, and the rest are written to the same syllabus and the same style. Every one of them is solved online with the correct answer and an explanation instead of being handed to you as a PDF, so the paper is something you sit rather than something you read.

How should I prepare Urdu for a test?

Work one chapter at a time rather than reading the whole subject end to end. Solve that chapter's MCQs until you are consistently above 80 percent, read the explanation on every question you get wrong, and move on only then. There are 3 Urdu chapters to get through. Once several chapters feel solid, sit a timed test that mixes them, because recalling a fact under the clock is a different skill from recognising it while you revise.

Do I need to sign up to practise Urdu MCQs?

No. You can practise Urdu MCQs on TestUstad without creating an account, without giving an email address and without a card. An account only saves your history and progress across sessions.
